The switch is one of the most-touched parts of the Heat Hat — you use it every single wash day. Here is exactly what has changed and what it means for your wash day experience:

The original — functional, but limited.
The first generation switch was where it all began. It got the job done, but with significant limitations. You had just 2 temperature control modes to choose from, a fixed usage window of 15–20 minutes, and a maximum operating temperature capped at 65°C. There was no timer display, no sound alert and no way to customise your session to your specific hair type or treatment. It was a one-size-fits-all approach — and for a community as diverse as ours, that was never going to be enough.

A step forward — but still not there.
The second generation brought improvements. You now had 10-level temperature control modes with overheat protection, and 3 timer modes spanning 20–45 minutes for your sessions. But it still had real limitations. The maximum temperature was still capped at 65°C.
