Getting started
The basics.

The Team Texture Heat Hat is a professional-grade, flame-retardant electronic heating cap designed to enhance the effectiveness of deep conditioners, hair masks, and moisturising treatments. It offers customisable heat settings and timers to cater to various hair care needs.

The Heat Hat is suitable for all hair types, including natural, curly, coily, wavy, and straight hair. It's particularly beneficial for individuals looking to improve moisture retention, hair elasticity, and overall hair health.

After shampooing, apply a generous amount of your preferred deep conditioner or treatment. Detangle hair thoroughly. Put on a shower cap, then wear the Heat Hat. Select the desired temperature and timer settings. Relax and let the treatment work. After the session, allow your hair to cool before rinsing with lukewarm water.

For most hair types, using the Heat Hat once a week during deep conditioning treatments is effective. Adjust based on your hair's specific needs.

The Heat Hat is available in Tropical (Colourful Pattern) and Black (Plain). It stretches up to 35cm to accommodate various head sizes and hair volumes.

Hair types + styles
Works for everyone.

Yes. Use the Heat Hat before braiding for a deep treatment that softens strands and improves elasticity. Use it after takedown to restore moisture. Avoid using over synthetic hair or extensions unless heat-safe. If braids are fresh or tight, wait a few days as your scalp may be sensitive.

Absolutely. Apply your product, cover with a plastic cap, then use the Heat Hat. Avoid overly thick conditioners that may get trapped. Use a shower cap underneath to avoid excess moisture in the lining. Let locs dry thoroughly after the session to prevent mildew. If you've just retwisted, wait a couple of days before applying heat.

Yes. Use the Heat Hat weekly with a moisturising or protein treatment. Detangle gently and coat evenly before use. Use mid to low temperature to prevent over-processing. Wait at least a week after applying chemical treatments. The Heat Hat will help strengthen hair, reduce breakage, and keep relaxed hair soft and manageable.

Yes, the Heat Hat can be used with various hair treatments including oils and protein treatments. Always follow the product instructions for best results.

Safety + medical
Safety first.

Yes. It features automatic temperature regulation, peaking at 65°C and adjusting to a safer 45°C, cycling back to the selected level. It also has an auto shut-off function that powers down once the timer ends.

Yes, it is safe for children 8 years and above without adult supervision. Children under 8 should be accompanied by an adult due to the size of the hat.

Wait until hair has begun to visibly grow back — typically 6–12 weeks after the last chemo session. Confirm with your oncologist or trichologist. Scalp must be fully healed. Start on the lowest heat setting with sessions of 10–15 minutes. Use hydration-focused treatments only. Do not use if the scalp is sore, red, or hypersensitive. Stop immediately if there is burning, tingling, or dizziness.

Usage: Never use while sleeping. Do not submerge in water. Always unplug after use. Do not use if damaged.

Scalp safety: Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Wait 5–7 days after chemical treatments. Always wear a shower cap underneath. Stop if you feel discomfort.

Heat + timing: Start on the lowest setting. Limit sessions to 20–45 minutes. Avoid daily use — 1–2 times a week is ideal.

Medical: Consult your doctor if you have scalp conditions or are post-surgery. Not recommended for heat sensitivity disorders unless medically advised.

Care + maintenance
Keep it fresh.

Detach the inner lining before cleaning. The lining is hand-washable or machine-washable. Do not submerge the electronic components in water. Store in a dry, cool place. Avoid wrapping the cord tightly around the cap to prevent wire damage.

Priority Hair Goals.
For people experiencing dryness, flakes, irritation or scalp imbalance.
A healthy scalp creates the best environment for healthy hair growth. Applying gentle heat before washing or during conditioning helps loosen buildup and allows scalp treatments to spread more evenly and absorb more effectively. This supports hydration of the scalp and makes cleansing more thorough and effective, giving your hair the foundation it needs to thrive.

For people whose main goal is restoring moisture and softness to dry, brittle or dehydrated hair.
Afro and curly hair often struggles with moisture retention because the bends and coils slow how easily water and conditioning ingredients travel down the strand. Applying gentle heat during deep conditioning helps lift the cuticle slightly, allowing water, humectants and conditioning ingredients to penetrate deeper into the cortex. A 20–30 minute heat session during wash day leaves hair softer, more elastic and better able to retain moisture throughout the week.

For people dealing with fragile strands, breakage or weak hair.
Breakage often happens when hair lacks moisture and elasticity. Heat helps deep conditioning treatments penetrate the fibre more effectively so strengthening ingredients can support the internal structure of the hair strand. Using heat during conditioning improves flexibility and resilience, helping strands bend without snapping and reducing breakage over time.

For people who want an effective hair care routine without complicated steps or too many products.
You don't need a ten-step routine to have healthy hair. Gentle heat during a single deep conditioning session does the work of multiple products by helping whatever conditioner you already use penetrate deeper and work more effectively. A simple 20–30 minute weekly or bi-weekly heat session is one of the most efficient things you can do for your hair with minimal effort and maximum results.

For people experiencing thinning edges, shedding or overall hair loss.
When hair is thinning or shedding, keeping existing strands as strong and healthy as possible is essential. Gentle heat during deep conditioning helps treatments absorb more deeply into the hair fibre, improving elasticity and reducing tension-related breakage. A well-hydrated, nourished strand is more resilient and less likely to shed prematurely. Supporting your scalp health alongside your conditioning routine gives your hair the best possible environment for recovery.

For people focused on achieving and maintaining well-defined, bouncy curls.
Curl definition starts with hydration. When the hair is properly moisturised from within, curls spring back more consistently and hold their shape longer. Gentle heat during deep conditioning allows moisture to penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, giving each curl the flexibility and elasticity it needs to coil fully and stay defined throughout the week.

For people trying to grow longer hair and keep their ends healthy.
Hair grows from the scalp, but length retention depends on protecting the oldest part of the strand. Heat-assisted conditioning allows moisture and strengthening ingredients to penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, improving elasticity and reducing split ends. This makes it easier to retain the length you grow rather than losing it to breakage at the ends.

Your Hair Style.
For people wearing their natural curls, coils or afro textures.
Curly and coily hair has many bends along the strand which makes it harder for moisture to travel from root to ends. Heat during deep conditioning helps open the cuticle slightly so water and conditioning ingredients can penetrate deeper into the hair fibre. This improves hydration, elasticity and softness, helping curls stay defined and manageable between wash days.

For people with locs or sisterlocks.
Locs benefit from hydration just like loose natural hair. Applying gentle heat during conditioning allows moisture to penetrate deeper into the loc structure, helping prevent dryness and brittleness over time. Regular heat-assisted conditioning helps keep locs flexible and hydrated without disrupting the integrity of the loc pattern.

For people who regularly wear braids, sew-ins, weave installs or wigs.
Protective styles work best when the hair underneath is deeply hydrated beforehand. A 20–30 minute heat-assisted conditioning session before installing braids or a weave allows conditioning ingredients to penetrate deeply into the hair fibre. After removing protective styles, another heat session during wash day helps restore hydration and elasticity after weeks of tension and manipulation.

For people who regularly cover their hair for religious, cultural or personal reasons.
Hair that spends most of its time covered can miss out on moisture from the air and may experience friction from coverings over time. Gentle heat during deep conditioning helps treatments penetrate more deeply so the hair stays hydrated and strong even when covered. Building a consistent heat conditioning routine into wash day helps maintain softness, elasticity and scalp health.

For people who chemically relax or regularly silk press their hair.
Relaxed hair can become more porous and prone to dryness over time. Heat-assisted deep conditioning helps treatments penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, improving hydration and elasticity. This helps maintain strength and flexibility so the hair remains smoother and less prone to breakage between relaxer applications or silk press appointments.

For people whose hair has been chemically coloured, highlighted or bleached.
Chemical colouring and bleaching lift the hair cuticle and alter the internal structure of the strand, making it more porous and prone to dryness and breakage. Gentle heat during deep conditioning helps bond-repairing and moisturising treatments absorb more deeply into the hair fibre, restoring some of the flexibility and strength that the colour process removes.

Your Hair Journey.
For people who have been natural for years and want to maintain healthy hair routines.
Even experienced naturals benefit from consistent deep conditioning routines. Using heat during wash day conditioning allows ingredients to penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, supporting long-term hydration, elasticity and strength. As natural hair ages and grows, the oldest ends need more care — heat-assisted conditioning helps keep those ends healthy and prevent progressive breakage.

For people who recently cut their hair short or are transitioning to natural hair.
The early stages of natural hair growth require strong moisture habits to support healthy strands from the start. Heat-assisted conditioning helps treatments penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, improving hydration and elasticity while your new growth establishes itself. Building this habit early sets up a much healthier foundation for long-term hair growth.

For people experiencing hair changes due to hormonal shifts, menopause, postpartum or other life changes.
Hormonal changes can significantly affect hair texture, density and moisture levels. Hair may become finer, drier or more prone to shedding. Gentle heat during deep conditioning helps moisturising and strengthening treatments absorb more deeply into the fibre, supporting whatever hair you have now. A consistent conditioning routine is one of the most effective ways to maintain strength and softness during periods of hormonal change.

For people who work out frequently and need their hair to withstand sweat and regular washing.
Frequent workouts mean more frequent washing, which can increase dryness if moisture isn't replenished effectively. Heat-assisted conditioning helps treatments penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, restoring hydration and helping strands remain flexible and resilient between workouts. A single well-executed conditioning session with heat does more than multiple cold conditioning sessions back to back.

For people who regularly braid out, twist out, blow dry or use other methods to stretch their natural hair.
Stretching methods work best on hair that is deeply hydrated and has good elasticity. Heat-assisted conditioning before your stretch routine allows moisture to penetrate deeper into the hair fibre, giving strands the flexibility they need to stretch without snapping. Well-conditioned hair also holds stretched styles for longer and reverts more gradually.
